I am excited to be able to film the Florence Area Literacy Council's annual event, Lip Sync Battle. It all goes down this Thursday, June 8th at SiMT (Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology) at 6:00PM. This a great event for an even greater organization and I am proud to be able to help out. Mics Off Battle On!
For me this is kind of last minute so I will be the only camera operator. This should be a fun but difficult event to film as there is no script/exactly planned choreography, they have a large stage, and they interact with the judges after each performance (the judges table has no lighting). I always want to make sure that I capture the perfect shot so I will have multiple stationary cameras setup. That should allow me to capture everything so when I do the mix I will have a better final edit. SiMT is providing a couple of guys to support audio and IMAG and I hope that they will allow me to capture the audio from their board.
